Last night went well with both Tampa and Colorado taking 1-0 leads in their series for a 2-0 +2 unit day for me. Tonight Toronto and Montreal battle it out for Game 7 and the Bruins look to take a 2-0 series lead at home.
Game 7: Maple Leafs vs. Canadiens (7:00)
Game 7 in Canada. It all comes down to this game for a series that most people thought a stacked Toronto Maple Leafs team would roll through very quickly against a Montreal Canadiens team that wouldn’t have made the playoffs in any other division and only had one more win on the season than the Ottawa Senators that everyone saw as a garbage team the whole season. The Habs got two overtime wins in Games 5 and 6 to force this game so it wouldn’t shock me if the Leafs choked again and Montreal knocked them out of the playoffs tonight, but Toronto should definitely win this game and series. I don’t think there’s any value in betting the Leafs tonight at -200, I think that line is ridiculous and that there is value in Montreal in Game 7 at +165. If you did want to play the Leafs in this game, the way I’d do it is bet them to win the North at a cheap -112. If they win this game, they’ll be a bigger favorite against Winnipeg than that so you’ll have value there. I’m personally not touching anything on this game or any bets on any of those three teams to win the North. If anything I’d take the Jets to win the North since I think whoever loses this game gets knocked out by Winnipeg in the North Finals before Winnipeg gets knocked out the following round. The North Division blows. I’ll be rooting for Montreal tonight, Go Habs Go!
Game 2: Bruins vs. Islanders (7:30)
In a sold out full capacity TD Garden in Game 1 on Saturday night, the Bruins were too much for the Islanders to handle as the B’s won 5-2. I think Boston comes out buzzing again tonight and takes a 2-0 series lead back to Long Island. I’ll jump on the B’s again tonight with 1.5 units on the regulation line and a unit on the ML. I still think this series ends up trending under even though Game 1 went over pretty easily, so I’ll jump back on the alternate under of 5.5 again for tonight game.
1.5u Bruins in regulation (-121)
1u Bruins ML (-215)
1u Bruins/Islanders under 5.5 (-162)
2u Tampa (-140)
2u Stanley Cup Champions: Vegas Golden Knights (+700)
2u Stanley Cup Champions: Colorado Avalanche (+650)
1u Stanley Cup Champions: New York Islanders (+1300)
1.5u Stanley Cup Champions: Boston Bruins (+900)
2u East Division Champions: Boston Bruins (+180)
Record: 341-256-2 (-21.73 units)
