After two days of no hockey, we’re back today with the semi finals starting off with Game 1 in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. the New York Islanders.
Looking at the futures I already had existing, I’m adding on 3 units on the Lightning at +175 and 0.8 units on the Islanders at +600 to win the Cup. Along with my Vegas futures, this guarantees at least 6.8 units won if any team besides the Montreal Canadiens (I’ll break down that series in depth tonight or tomorrow) wins the Cup. And that’s just on Cup futures, not the series bet and individual game bets. I want to finish the season very strong.
Game 1: Lightning vs. Islanders (3:00)
As I broke down in my more in depth series preview earlier today, I’d expect Tampa wins this series in six games, so for Game 1, I’m taking Tampa at home to get a 1-0 series lead for a unit.
