NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 3/14/22

I had a profitable day yesterday, going 3-6-1 to win 1.43 units. The NHL’s real good at scheduling games (sarcasm) so between 20 games over the weekend and eleven games tomorrow…we only have one shitty game tonight.

Senators vs. Coyotes (7:30)

This game’s shit between two of the worst teams in the NHL but I actually do see some bets worth making on it. The Coyotes are 18-36-4, coming off a 3-2 loss to the Bruins on Saturday night but they’re playing their best hockey of the year right now and really grinding out games with seven wins in their last ten games. On the season they’re struggling on both ends of the ice, allowing a fifth most in the NHL average of 3.55 goals per game and only scoring a third fewest in the NHL average of 2.53 goals per game. In their last few games though, scoring hasn’t been a struggle as they’ve averaged a crazy six goals each in their last four games. The Senators haven’t been much better at 21-32-5, coming off a 6-3 loss at home to the Blackhawks on Saturday. They had back to back wins in their games prior, beating Seattle 4-3 in overtime on Thursday and getting a 4-1 win in St. Louis on Tuesday but those were their only two wins in their last eight games. They haven’t been much better than the Yotes statistically, scoring a seventh fewest in the NHL average of 2.64 goals per game and allowing an eleventh most average of 3.24 goals per game. They’ll be starting rookie Filip Gustavsson in goal tonight, who’s been pretty awful in his previous games this season, holding a 3-9-1 record, 3.66 GAA and 0.896 save percentage. These teams just played nine days ago in Arizona with the Coyotes winning a high scoring 8-5 game, scoring four unanswered in the last 16 minutes of the game. Going back to October 2015, the Yotes have won eight of the last eleven matchups between these teams. The Coyotes are hot and I like them to win this one again tonight in likely a high scoring matchup. Only game on the board tonight and I have a good handful of bets on it. I’ll go with 1.5 units on the Coyotes TT over 2.5, a unit on the Yotes ML and a half unit each on the Yotes in regulation, Coyotes -1.5 alternate puck line and the over. Let’s crush this game.
