NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/9/22

Yesterday went great, winning 9.76 units to get the playoffs back on track for me. I cashed three series bets on the over 5.5 games props for 2 units each on the Bruins/Hurricanes, Blues/Wild, Leafs/Bolts and on my game bets, I went 2-3 to win 3.76 units. I won my game of the year on Tampa for eight units completely sweat free. No way the Bolts were gonna get beat two games in a row at home in the playoffs to the biggest choke artist franchise in NHL history to go down 3-1 in the series. Tonight we have four more Game 4s with the first elimination game of the playoffs.

Game 4: Capitals vs. Panthers (7:00)

The Florida Panthers find themselves down 2-1 in this series, something I didn’t expect out of the President’s Trophy winners. They got dominated in Game 3 in Washington, losing 6-1. Although this isn’t necessarily a must win game, with the expectations of the Panthers this season and their incredible regular season, I feel like they can’t go 3-1 in this series and have to get a win tonight on the road to take back home ice in this series. They did a very good job at bouncing back from their 4-2 loss in Game 1 at home with a 5-1 dominant win at home in Game 2. I already have a lot of risk on this game with my Panthers to win the series in six games or less prop, but I think they have to win this game, so I’ll go with a unit on the Florida ML. I’ll also take the over in this game for a unit, with every game in this series trending over.

Game 4: Penguins vs. Rangers (7:00)

In a great games of ups and downs in Game 2 of this series, the Penguins got out to a 4-1 lead that saw Igor Shesterkin get pulled from the game before the Rangers came back to tie it up. The Pens then took the lead and sealed it off with a 7-4 victory to take a 2-1 series lead. I still think the Rangers are the better team in this series with way better goaltending. I expected the Penguins to get a few wins with their veteran leadership, which is exactly what’s happened. I still expect the Rags to win the series though and think Igor gets a nice bounce back win tonight. I’ll take the Rangers here for 1.5 units.

Game 4: Predators vs. Avalanche (9:30)

This series could end tonight with the Colorado Avalanche up 3-0 in the series, looking to sweep the Predators and be the first team to advance out of the first round this season. The Preds are just so overmatched in this series and I just expect the Avs to finish it up and sweep them tonight. If that happens, I’ll cash a couple units on the series bets. I’ll add to that with two units on the Avs in regulation along with two units on the over. Crazy coaching moves happen at the end of elimination games when teams have nothing left to lose where we could see an empty net with even ten minutes left in the game. I will also take the Avs TT over 3.5 for a unit.

Game 4: Stars vs. Flames (9:30)

I lost on the under in Game 3 of this series with literally a second left in the game on Sunday night which was a huge swing for me as the Stars took a 2-1 series lead with a 4-2 win. Calgary’s the better team in this series and their offense has looked like trash so far in the first three games. They need to get a big win here to even up the series before returning home for Game 5. I like the Flames to get a win on the road tonight. I already have a lot on the series bets on this game and do still think they win the series but if they lose tonight to go down 3-1, that bet’s a loss. In addition to letting that ride, I’ll take the Flames for a unit here tonight and go back to the under for a 1.5 units, which has been trending way under through the first three games.
