NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/30/22

I made the smart move on Friday of getting out of my series bet on the Canes on the road to actually make a profit on the Rangers winning Game 6 to force Game 7 in Carolina tonight. I did lose on the under though, ending up going 1-2 to lose 0.88 units. No big deal. Tonight, we get the two best words in sports, Game 7 to determine who goes on to play the Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Game 7: Hurricanes vs. Rangers (8:00)

I pretty much expected the Rangers to force Game 7 on Friday night since so far in these playoffs, the Carolina Hurricanes are a completely different team on the road than they are at home. The Canes have won every game at home in the playoffs so far in both the first round against the Bruins and then again this series against the Rags. Going into this series, I thought Carolina was the better team and I still think they are. I’d expect the Hurricanes to win this game to keep my future on them to win the Cup (which I will absolutely hedge against Tampa if they win tonight) alive and I’ll double down on that with two units on the Canes ML and half a unit on the puck line. Although Game 6 went over, this series has trended way under with the first five games going under and mostly (besides Game 5 that was a big sweat) coming easily. Adding to that, in general Game 7s tend to be low scoring grinds of games that seem to trend defensively. I’ll load up tonight with three units on the under 5.5. I’ll also throw in a 0.2 unit shot at the exact score of 3-1 Hurricanes with some nice value at +1800.

Game Bets

2u Hurricanes ML (-143)

.5u Hurricanes -1.5 (+180)

3u Hurricanes/Rangers under 5.5 (-143)

.2u Exact score: 3-1 Hurricanes (+1800)

2u Hurricanes: Stanley Cup Champions (+700)

Record: 899-688-38 (+12.8 units)

Regular Season: 809-605-32 (+19.61 units)

Playoffs: 90-83-6 (-6.81 units)
