NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 6/9/22

I got a sweat free double winner in the Bolts 4-1 win in Game 4 in Tampa on Tuesday night to win 2 units as the Bolts tied the series at 2-2 going back to New York tonight for Game 5 in MSG.

Game 5: Rangers vs. Lightning (8:00)

On Tuesday night the Lightning got a dominant 4-1 win at home to even up the series at 2-2. Andrei Vasilevskiy played great in goal and Tampa’s defense limited the Rangers scoring opportunities while the Bolts offense put up four goals and never trailed. The Rags haven’t scored on 5 on 5 since Game 2. Igor Shesterkin set a record for the fewest games (18) to reach 600 saves in a single postseason, which to me, although impressive, shows how much the Rangers are leaning on him making saves to stay in these series. It also means they’re giving up a ton of shots and high danger opportunities. Eventually, as we saw in Games 3 and 4, teams like Tampa are going to capitalize on those chances. This is the first time since 1991 that the home teams in a conference finals won all of the first four games. The momentum in this series has definitely shifted to the Lightning and I see that home team trend changing tonight. Game 5 is a huge deciding game in tied series historically. I have a lot on the Bolts to win this series and although I was pretty nervous through the first two games of those being dead, I’m back to being confident in the Lightning to win this series. Without home ice in this now best of three series, I like the Bolts to win tonight on the road in MSG and put the Rangers on the brink of elimination, to which point I can’t see the Rags winning two in a row to win it in seven against the back to back Cup Champs. Along with letting it ride on my series bets on the Bolts, I’ll double down with a unit on the Lightning ML along with continuing to ride the unders on this series for a unit.
