NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 6/18/22

I got the perfect result in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night, winning my bet on the Lightning TT over 2.5 with the Avalanche still winning the game for my series bets. After two full days off, we’re back in Denver again tonight for Game 2.

Game 2: Avalanche vs. Lightning (8:00)

In Game 1 on Wednesday night, the Avalanche took a series lead with a 4-3 overtime win. With a high scoring first period, the Avs took a 3-1 lead before the Lightning scored back to back in the second period with two goals less than two minutes away. After a scoreless third period, Colorado got the game winner 1:23 into overtime from Andre Burakovsky. The Avs poured it on, outshooting the Bolts 38-23 with Andrei Vasilevskiy keeping Tampa in it. Over 75% of teams that win Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals go on to win the Stanley Cup, which bodes well for the Avs and my series bet on them to lift Lord Stanley. Game 2 is the toughest one for me to figure out what to bet. The Lightning have been very good at bouncing back from losses in the playoffs over the last three years but I still think the Avs are the better team in this series and they’re at home. Sometimes the best bet on a game is none at all and to me, this is one of them. I’ll lay off tonight’s game. I’d slightly lean the Avs and the under.
