NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 6/26/22

I thought the Avs were going to close out this series and lift the Stanley Cup on Friday night. I went all in on that and obviously failed, getting crushed. Along with losing 2.2 units going 1-1 on my series bets after I hedged completely out and flipped the script on my over 5.5 total games bet after Game 2, I also went 0-4 on my Game 5 bets to lose additional units 6.88 units. The Lightning played great and got the 3-2 win, never trailing to extend the series to Tampa tonight for Game 6.

Game 6: Lightning vs. Avalanche (8:00)

I really got fucked as the Avs couldn’t close out this series and win the cup at home on Friday night and now this has become a very interesting series. The Avs outshot the Bolts 37-29 in that 3-2 loss and as the rest of this series, I think they have been the better team. But on the other end of the ice, Andrei Vasilevskiy has been the best goalie in the NHL in the playoffs over the last three seasons and can steal games away to extend or even win series, as he’s been a huge reason for the Lightning winning the Cup the last two seasons. Even in the last two games, besides Kadri’s game winner in Game 4 in overtime (which technically shouldn’t have been a goal), all four of the other goals that Vasilevskiy gave up were lucky bounces. That said, the Avalanche are the better team in this series, the better team this season and they haven’t had back to back losses at all in the playoffs. Tampa plays way better at home, especially five on five than they do on the road, but I think this season ends tonight. I’m not going as heavily as I did last game but along with letting my two unit bet on the Avs to win the cup ride, I’ll take the Avalanche ML for a unit and Avalanche TT over 2.5 for half a unit. I’d lean the over but I haven’t hit a total all series, so I’ll just stay off it, especially since I think the total ends up landing around 6. Let’s end this season on a high note and watch the Avalanche emotionally lift Lord Stanley’s Cup!
