NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 11/18/22

The fortune swung in my favor on last night’s huge 13 game NHL slate as I went 4-2 to win 2.6 units. Solid bounce back. Sandwiched between that huge slate yesterday the biggest slate of the season with 15 games tomorrow, we just have one game late tonight. Great scheduling.

Canucks vs. Kings (10:00)

On Tuesday night the Canucks ended their three game losing streak with a 5-4 win against my Buffalo Sabres. They’re a pathetic 5-9-3 on the season and haven’t played good hockey. Vancouver’s offense has been decent enough, scoring an average of 3.41 goals per game on an average of 30.5 shots per game. Defensively they’ve been horrendous though, allowing an average of 4.06 goals per game on an average of 32.9 shots per game. Thatcher Demko has sucked this season in goal with a terrible 4.02 GAA and .874 save percentage in his eleven starts, just getting one win on the season. He’s projected to start tonight. The Kings have played good hockey recently, winning 3-1 in Edmonton on Wednesday night (loss for me) with their fifth win in their last six games to improve to 11-7-1 on the season. Their offense has improved from last year, scoring an average of 3.32 goals per game on an average of 32.4 shots per game but they’ve gotten worse defensively. They’ve allowed an average of 3.37 goals per game on the season on an average of 29.6 shots per game given up. They have improved on the back end recently though. On the year, Jonathan Quick, who is projected to start tonight has been pretty bad in goal with a 3.09 GAA and .895 save percentage this season. Last year in the three games between these Pacific Division teams, Vancouver won two of those games with two of them being decided in overtime with a 3-2 Canucks win and 2-1 Kings win with the other game ending in a 4-0 shutout win for the Nuks. I like the Kings to get a win here on the road and will take them for half a unit, along with the over. I feel like worst case Ontario, can’t lose both.
