NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 1/20/23

Huge night for me yesterday on the NHL after hammering my Sabres. I went 7-4 to win 5.34 units, my third winning day in a row. Let’s keep it going tonight with just two games before another huge slate tomorrow, thanks to the league’s great scheduling.

Penguins vs. Senators (7:00)

Tonight the Penguins face off against the Senators in Pittsburgh for the second half of a home and home after the Senators won 5-4 in overtime at home against the Pens on Wednesday night in a fun back-and-forth game. Ottawa outshot the Penguins 40-19 in that matchup with Brady Tkachuk scoring the game-winner 25 seconds into OT. After that loss the Pens are now 22-15-7 on the season. They’ve been on a lousy streak lately with just three wins in their last 12 games. Pittsburgh’s been pretty good offensively but they’ve struggled a bit defensively. The Sens haven’t been great this season with a 20-21-3 record on the season and have just won two of their last six games. They’ve struggled a bit on both ends of the ice. I think the Penguins bounce back and get their revenge for Wednesday’s loss with a win at home so I’ll go back to them for half a unit. I also like the over in this game, which I’ll take for a unit.

Canucks vs. Avalanche (10:00)

I broke this game down in depth for my article on StatSalt. As I said in that article I like the Avs to get a win on the road and like the over. I’ll take each for half a unit.
