Yesterday’s slate to start the second round was a catastrophe for me, going 0-4 with very disappointing losses for the Leafs and the Stars to lose 9.52 units, the worst day of the playoffs. Tonight, we can bounce back with other two series starting and I have Cup futures on all four teams!
Game 1: Hurricanes vs. Devils (7:00)
Last night I broke this series down in depth in my preview blog. Like I said in that blog, I expect the Devils to win this series. Going into the first round, I said that the winner of Devils/Rangers would beat the winner of Canes/Oilers in the second round to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. I stand by that and I’ll take them to win the series for 3 units. Along with it, I like them to win Game 1 on the road which I will take for a unit at around even money. I also like the under, which I’ll take for half a unit, expecting a defensive battle.
Game 1: Golden Knights vs. Oilers (9:30)
I’m really anticipating this series and think it’s going to be so much fun between the top two teams in the West, both of which could win the Cup. I broke this series down in depth in my preview blog that I just finished before writing up this one. I think this series is super interesting and I’m not making a pick on a side of it. I expect this series to go at least six games, so I will take the series to go over 5.5 games for 2 units and take a half unit shot at +200 for the series to go to Game 7. Although I’m staying off a side in this one, I do like the over, which I’ll take for a unit.
