Capitals vs. Kraken (5:00)

I know the Kraken are 3-2, but I’m not sold on them whatsoever with those wins coming against the Red Wings and twice against the Flames. The Capitals on the other hand I think are very good. I like the Caps to win here at home and I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. I’ll also take the over for half a unit.

Rangers vs. Canucks (6:00)

Brutal cross conference game here. The Rangers got off to a hot 4-2 start, but their season’s over already with Igor Shesterkin now out the entire season. The Canucks have been horrendous as expected. I’d lean the Rags win at home here in MSG, but no shot I even considered betting them at -278. I’d also lean the over, but not enough to bet it, so I’ll lay off this game completely.

Flyers vs. Hurricanes (7:00)

Huge mismatch here in the Metro Division. The Flyers are still looking for their first win and have looked horrible on both ends of the ice, especially offensively in their 0-4-2 start. The Hurricanes have looked solid defending their Cup, on a four game win streak coming into tonight. The first game between these teams went to overtime, but the Canes should be able to get it done in regulation, so I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. With both teams in the second half of a back to back, I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
