Double loser on the NHL last night (hit a hell of a MNF parlay though) to lose 1.6 units. Let’s bounce back on tonight’s Frozen Frenzy, a fantastic night with every team in action and staggered games all night!

Red Wings vs. Devils (6:00)
Not a great game here between these two Eastern Conference teams to get the night started. I’d lean the Devils win here on the road to bounce back from their 4-1 loss in Ottawa last night, but don’t like it enough to bet on them in the second half of back to back on the road. I’d lean the under slightly, but not enough to bet it. I’ll lay off this game entirely.
Blue Jackets vs. Panthers (6:15)
I don’t think the Blue Jackets are very good and this feels like a nice bounce back spot for the Panthers, even in the second half of a back to back on the road. I’ll take Florida for half a unit. I’d lean the over at 5.5, but not enough to bet it.
Canadiens vs. Sabres (6:30)
This should be a fun game in the Atlantic for a rematch of last year’s second round where the Habs won in Game 7. I expect Montreal to be even better this year and my Sabres to be worse. Especially with Buffalo in the second half of a back to back on the road coming off yesterday’s great matinee win at home against the Panthers, I like the Habs to win this one. I’ll bet against my boys for a unit, and I like the over, which I’ll also take for a unit.
Hurricanes vs. Capitals (6:45)
Fantastic game between easily the top two teams in the Metro Division. To open the season, the Caps put on an impressive performance, beating the Cup Champs 5-2 as Carolina raised their banner to the rafters. I’d lean the Canes answer back here at home, but not enough to bet the side in this one. I do like the over, expecting both teams to score, and I’ll take it for a unit.
Flyers vs. Kraken (7:00)
What a snoozefest for this cross conference game. I’d lean the Kraken win this one on the road as the Flyers still search for their first win, but I’m not touching it. I considered betting the over, but I’ll just lay of this one completely.
Lightning vs. Rangers (7:15)
The Rangers have been impressive to start this year, but it’s going to be a downward spiral for them without Shesterkin. The Lightning have been rolling and I like them to stay hot here to win on the road to answer back for the 5-1 loss they took to the Rags in MSG to start the season. I’ll take Tampa for unit. I’d lean the over at 5.5, but not quite enough to bet it.
Senators vs. Blues (7:30)
I didn’t have high expectations for the Sens this year, but they’ve been impressive. I’d lean they win here at home, but didn’t even consider it with them in the second half of a back to back. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet that either, so I’ll lay off this game.
Islanders vs. Canucks (7:45)
Horrible matchup. The Canucks are one of the worst teams in the league, especially defensively and the Islanders have done nothing to impress me. The Isles should win this game pretty easily at home, but I can’t bet this team at -200. Too expensive. I do like the over though, which I’ll take for half a unit.
Blackhawks vs. Penguins (8:00)
Horrible game here. The Blackhawks are so bad. This should be an easy win for Pittsburgh and I’m shocked its only -162. I’ll take the Pens for 1.5 units. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
Jets vs. Wild (8:15)
Interesting matchup in the Central tonight. I though the Jets would struggle without Hellebuyck, but they’ve been pretty decent. The Wild are very good, but in the second half of a back to back on the road after two big wins. I’d lean Minnesota wins this one on the road, but think the best move is not betting it in what to me feels like it could be a let down spot. I’d slightly lean the under, but I’m not touching this game.
Stars vs. Avalanche (8:30)
Fantastic game here between two of the best teams in the Central. Both of these teams are coming out of losses and have battled over these last few years. I just think Colorado’s the better team, and I like them to win on the road. I’ll take the Avs in a rare spot as a slight dog for half a unit. I’d slightly lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
Predators vs. Golden Knights (8:45)
This game should be fun, although it’s quite a mismatch in my eyes. I like the Golden Knights to win here on the road to bounce back from their loss in Minnesota last night, and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to take it at 6.5.
Mammoth vs. Maple Leafs (9:00)
I’d expect this to be a really fun cross conference matchup. I think Utah’s the better team here and I’d lean that they win this at home, but not enough to bet it with the Leafs coming off a hot 6-3 win in Colorado. I do love the over this game though, and I’ll take it for a unit.
Ducks vs. Flames (9:45)
Horrendous mismatch in this home and home. Calgary’s easily the worst team in the NHL this year on both ends of the ice, while the Ducks are very good offensively and have improved on the backend. I’m surprised this game isn’t over -200 and I’ll take the Ducks for 1.5 units. I also like the over, which I’ll take for a unit.
Kings vs. Oilers (10:30)
The Kings suck. I like the Oilers to win this game pretty easily on the road and I’ll take them for a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet on it.
Sharks vs. Bruins (11:00)
Great cross conference game to end the night between two pretty solid teams, especially with Macklin Celebrini back in the lineup for the Sharks. I’d maybe give San Jose a bit of a lean here as a home dog, but this game’s way too close to a coin flip for me to bet. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it, so I’ll end my night a half hour early.
