NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 10/14/26

Last night’s Frozen Frenzy didn’t go great for me, going 6-6 on the NHL, but losing my two biggest plays to lose 4.6 units. Let’s bounce back with just two great games tonight.

Capitals vs. Canadiens (7:30)

This should be a very fun game in the East tonight, especially with both teams in the second half of back to backs. I’d lean the Capitals win here at home to bounce back from their last two losses in a row, but not enough to bet it. I do like the over quite a bit though, and I’ll take that for a unit.

Avalanche vs. Stars (8:30)

Great matchup in the Central in the second half of a home and home on a back to back for two of the best teams in the West. Last night’s game got pretty heated, with the Avs winning 3-2 on back to back goals in the second period from Martin Necas. I like Colorado to win again here tonight at home and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.

Bets

1u Capitals/Canadiens over 6.5 (-115)

.5u Avalanche ML (-142)

Regular Season Record: 53-45 (+0.16 units)
