NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 10/16/26

Another winning night for me yesterday on the NHL, going 5-4 to win 0.68 units. Just two late games tonight, let’s win!

Avalanche vs. Penguins (9:00)

This should be a fun cross conference game with the Nate Dogg facing his hero from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Sidney Crosby and his Penguins. The Avs have been a bit inconsistent their last few games but I still think they’re the best team out of the West. I like Colorado to bounce back here at home from Wednesday’s shootout loss in the second half of a back to back home and home against the Stars with the Pens not playing great after their solid start to the year. I’ll take the Avalanche in regulation for a unit. I also like the over, which I’ll take for half a unit.

Ducks vs. Bruins (10:00)

Really solid cross conference matchup here between two likely playoff teams, who have both played pretty well. The Bruins head to Anaheim on a three game win streak, but with the Ducks at home, coming off a 4-2 loss at home to the Flames on Tuesday, I’d lean the Ducks win it as a slight home dog. Not enough to bet on it though, I do like the over though, which I’ll take for half a unit.

Bets

1u Avalanche in regulation (-135)

.5u Avalanche/Penguins over 6.5 (-118)

.5u Bruins/Ducks over 6.5 (+105)

Regular Season Record: 59-50 (+1.12 units)
