I won a unit last night, going 2-1 on those two NHL games. Today we have a big 14 game slate, gotta keep winning!

Capitals vs. Devils (1:00)
This should be a fun game to start the day in the Metro Division with both of these teams playing well. I like the Caps to win this one at home and I’ll take them for a unit. I like the over as well, which I’ll also take for a unit.
Jets vs. Hurricanes (3:30)
The Jets have been way better than I expected to start the season, but the Canes are the way better team in this cross conference matchup. I like them to win here on the road. The moneyline is too expensive at -205, so I’ll play this one a bit more cautiously and take Carolina in regulation for half a unit. At 6.5, I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Lightning vs. Canucks (4:00)
Horrendous mismatch in this cross conference matinee. This should be an easy win for Tampa at home and I’ll take the Bolts puck line for a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
Panthers vs. Kraken (6:00)
Both of these teams have played well to open their season with the Kraken exceeding my expectations early. I like the Panthers to win this game at home and I’ll lay the -185 on them for half a unit. I’d slightly lean the over, but I’m not betting on it.
Canadiens vs. Sabres (7:00)
These Atlantic Division teams haven’t been all that great to start the season. When we played the first time on Tuesday night, it was an awesome game, very competitive in a rematch of last year’s second round, with the Habs winning it 4-3 in a shootout. I like Montreal to win again here at home tonight and I’ll bet against my boys for half a unit. I like the over again too, which I will take for a unit.
Maple Leafs vs. Islanders (7:00)
This isn’t the best game for the second matchup between these Eastern Conference teams. I’d lean the Leafs win it again at home after winning the first game 2-1, but not enough to bet it. I’d also lean the over, but I’ll lay off this game completely.
Red Wings vs. Sharks (7:00)
Not a great cross conference game here. I’m so low on the Red Wings this season and like Celebrini and the Sharks to win here on the road. I’ll take San Jose as a dog for half a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Flyers vs. Senators (7:00)
Going into the season, I figured both of these teams would compete for but likely fall short of Wild Card spots in the East. I didn’t think the Flyers would be this awful, still searching for their first win, and I didn’t think the Senators would be as good as they have been. The Sens already won the first game between these teams 2-1 at home, and I like them to win again here on the road. I’ll take Ottawa for a unit. I’d lean the under, but I’m not betting it at 5.5.
Blue Jackets vs. Rangers (7:00)
What a boring Metro Division matchup. The Blue Jackets have been pretty terrible while the Rangers have exceeded expectations despite not having Igor Shesterkin for the rest of the season. I’d lean the Rangers win here on the road, and I’d lean the over, but the right move is just staying off this game completely.
Blackhawks vs. Stars (7:00)
Giant mismatch here in the Central. Despite coming off two wins in a row, the Blackhawks are awful. The Stars have underperformed to start their season but are still very talented, especially compared to Chicago. I’ll take Dallas in regulation for a unit. I’d lean the under, but I’m not touching the total.
Predators vs. Blues (8:00)
This should be a good game in the Central, even though neither of these teams are good. I’d lean the Blues win it on the road and the over, but not enough to bet either, so I’ll lay off this game.
Kings vs. Bruins (9:00)
This isn’t a good cross conference matchup. The Kings have not been good with an 0-3-2 record, but they’ve faced far better teams than them to start the season. This one’s no different, with the Bruins playing quite well this year. They’re on a four game win streak, in the second half of a back to back after beating the Ducks 4-2 on the road last night. I like Boston to win here and I’ll take them for half a unit as an underdog. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it, but the play I really like here is the Bruins team total over 2.5, which I’ll take for a unit.
Mammoth vs. Oilers (10:00)
Great matchup here in the West in the second half of a home and home, with the Mammoth winning the first game 4-2 on the road on Thursday night. Both of these teams have been very good so far this season, so I’m expecting another competitive matchup. I’d lean Utah wins here again at home, but not enough to bet it. I will go right back to the over again though for half a unit.
Golden Knights vs. Penguins (10:00)
This isn’t the best cross conference matchup to end the night. I think the Golden Knights are a very good team. Although Pittsburgh started the year hot, they’ve won just one of their last five games and are in the second half of a back to back. I like Vegas to win this one at home and I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. I also like the over, which I’ll take for half a unit.
