I had a nice winning night on the NHL yesterday, going 8-6 to cash 1.86 units. Tonight we have a decent five game slate including the first outdoor game of the season! Let’s win!

Blackhawks vs. Panthers (3:00)
Not a great cross conference game here by any means. The Blackhawks are awful, and although the Panthers are struggling a bit lately and dealing with a bunch of injuries again, they’re the way better team here. I like Florida to win here on the road and I’ll take them for a unit. I’d slightly lean the under at 6.5, but didn’t consider betting it.
Stars vs. Islanders (6:00)
This should be a decent cross conference game. I think the Stars are the better team here and like them to win it at home, but the price at -200 is too expensive, and I definitely am not buying it down to regulation only with these teams both going to OT quite a bit. I do like the under though, which I’ll take for a unit.
Jets vs. Canadiens (7:00)
The NHL takes it outdoors for the first time this season tonight up in Winnipeg for the Heritage Classic. I like the Habs to win this one on the road, and I’ll take them for half a unit. I also like the over, which I’ll take for half a unit as well.
Predators vs. Avalanche (8:00)
Pretty big mismatch here in the Central. I like the Avs to win here on the road, especially with the Preds in the second half of a back to back, and I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. I also like the over, which I’ll take for half a unit.
Canucks vs. Wild (10:00)
Huge mismatch out West to end the night. In my eyes, the Canucks are far and away the worst team in the league. Even with the Wild on the second half of a back to back on the road, I like them to win this game pretty easily and I’ll lay the -192 for 1.5 units. I’d lean the over slightly, but not enough to bet it.
