Yesterday I went 8-4 in the NHL, but lost my bigger plays to end the day down 1.48 units. Five game slate today going up against football, let’s win!

Hurricanes vs. Jets (1:00)
Lousy game to start off the day. The Cup Champs have looked fantastic while the Jets are in a big time downward spiral and look awful. Carolina already won the first game between these teams 3-2 on the road and this should be an even easier win for them at home. I’ll take the Canes in regulation for 1.5 units. The total’s a toss up to me.
Capitals vs. Wild (3:30)
Fantastic cross conference matchup here and it’s a real shame that this game is going up against the NFL. Both of these teams are playing great hockey this year. I’d give a very slight edge to the Caps at home, but definitely not enough to bet it. I’d slightly lean the over, but not enough to bet that either at 6.5, so I’ll lay off this awesome game entirely.
Flyers vs. Mammoth (4:00)
Big mismatch in this cross conference game. The Flyers blow while the Mammoth are a very solid playoff team. I like Utah to win here on the road and I’ll take them for a unit. I like the over as well, especially at 5.5 which I’ll take for a unit as well (I’d go with half a unit if you can only get the 6.5).
Rangers vs. Oilers (6:00)
This cross conference game isn’t great. The Rangers have looked awful and are falling apart now without their top two goalies. Edmonton has looked great, coming off two 4-0 shutouts in a row. Even in the second half of a back to back, I like the Oilers to win here and I’ll take them as a slight dog for half a unit. I like the over as well, which I’ll take for a unit.
Ducks vs. Senators (8:00)
This should be a fun game to end the night here. The Ducks are struggling quite a bit, and I’d lean the Sens win here on the road, but not enough to bet them in the second half of a back to back. I do like the over though, which I’ll take for a unit.
