Great day in the NHL yesterday for me, going 9-3 on the big slate to win 4.04 units. Let’s make it three great days in a row on today’s six game slate!
Bruins vs. Panthers (1:00)
Such a great Atlantic Division matchup to start off the day. Both of these teams have been very solid this season. The Panthers come into today’s matinee in the second half of a back to back, coming off a 4-3 loss at home to the Capitals in a great game yesterday afternoon. With the Bruins at home and not having played yesterday, I give them a slight edge here and I’ll take them for half a unit. I like the over better at 5.5 points though, which I’ll take for a unit.
Sabres vs. Golden Knights (3:30)
It’s nice that we get a fun day game in Buffalo with the Bills slated to stress out our Monday night big time. It’s always fun when former Sabre Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights come to town. The Sabres have been playing better lately with four wins in our last five games, but Vegas is definitely the better team here. I’ll take them for half a unit. At 6.5, I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it. I was going to take Jack Eichel to get a point, but at -260 that’s way too expensive so I’ll just stick with the Knights ML.
Jets vs. Lightning (6:00)
Big mismatch here, even with the Lightning on the road in the second half of a back to back. Tampa’s the far better team in this game and I like them to get the win on the road tonight. I’ll take them for a unit. I also like the over, which I’ll take for a unit as well.
Maple Leafs vs. Devils (7:00)
Fun matchup here in the East, but it’s quite the mismatch with both of these teams in the second half of back to backs. The Leafs have really struggled recently while the Devils have been very good. Jake Allen got the start yesterday and wasn’t great, but the Devils were able to come back and still get the overtime win on Long Island. With that, I’m expecting Connor Hellebuyck to be back between the pipes tonight for the Devils. I like Jersey to win here on the road and I’ll take them for a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Flames vs. Flyers (7:00)
Pretty terrible cross conference matchup. Both of these teams stink. I’d lean the Flames win here at home, but I’m not touching the side on this one. I do like the over though, which I’ll take for half a unit.
Ducks vs. Penguins (8:00)
This isn’t the best cross conference game to end the night. Both of these teams have struggled this season, but are both coming off wins. The Ducks have gotten it rolling a bit here lately, coming in on a four game win streak. With the Pens in the second half of a back to back on the road, I like Anaheim to keep their win streak going and I’ll take them for half a unit. I love the over, which I’ll take for a unit.
