I’m having the biggest annual release from Mortalis on tonight’s Brew Review, with this year’s Apple Brandy version of Leto. This 13% imperial stout was brewed for their fifth anniversary, aged for a year in an apple brandy barrel and condition on almonds and almond cookies for this very limited drop. The BA stouts from Mortalis usually crush it and on today’s Brew Review, I’m having their Barrel Aged Niflheim (Blue Wax). This 13% imperial stout was a collab with Weldworks. The base was aged 16 months in Sazerac Rye and Jim Beam Double oak barrels and the blend was then conditioned on toasted coconut and almonds.
