Teaming up again with Horus Aged Ales, Mortalis brewed up a barrel aged version of Nyx Falcon, which I’m having on today’s Brew Review. This 13% imperial stout was aged 15 months in Peerless Bourbon barrels, then conditioned on Emperors coconut, toasted coconut, house toasted hazelnuts, and hazelnut coffee. I’m having the biggest annual release from Mortalis on tonight’s Brew Review, with this year’s Apple Brandy version of Leto. This 13% imperial stout was brewed for their fifth anniversary, aged for a year in an apple brandy barrel and condition on almonds and almond cookies for this very limited drop.
