I had a decent day yesterday winning around a unit on hockey, mainly on Vegas winning in regulation (I also won on an awesome tip I got before the Super Bowl that Tampa’s Gatorade color was blue so I pretty much got Tom Brady at 6:1 to win it). Tonight there’s a decent six game NHL slate, so let’s keep the wins coming in to dig us out of the hole.

Rangers vs. Islanders (7:00)

Both NY teams are now 4-4-2, so not a great start to the season for either. This season these two teams split their opening games against each other in shutouts with the Isles winning 4-0 and then the Rangers winning 5-0. I could see this game going either way, so laying off it. 

Blue Jackets vs. Hurricanes (7:00)

Yesterday Carolina got me a win against Columbus in a high scoring 6-5 game that included some drama where the NHL allowed the winning goal to count even though there was an offside on the play (stupidest rule in hockey that offsides can get challenged on a goal, but I digress). Tonight the Canes are starting Alex Nedeljkovic in goal who was 1-2-1 in the games he started last year. With the uncertainty at goalie, I’m skipping this game. 

Senators vs. Oilers (7:00)

On Saturday night, the Oilers lost 6-4 in a wildly entertaining Battle of Alberta. Prior to that they had back to back easy wins against the Sens. Tonight I’m taking the Oilers in regulation at the too cheap price of -120 for half a unit, Oilers TT over 3.5 for half a unit and the puck line for half a unit.

Maple Leafs vs. Canucks (7:00)

On Saturday, after losing on my rare parlay bet, I chased it with the Leafs ML against Vancouver and it was a sweat free easy win 5-1, coming after them beating the Canucks 7-3 the game before. I’m going back to Toronto tonight with a half unit each on the Leafs in regulation and the Leafs -1.5. 

Predators vs. Lightning (8:00)

Tampa’s the best team in the East this year to no surprise coming off winning the Cup. Tonight they are starting Curtis McElhinney against the Preds and although they should win tonight and the price is pretty decent, I’m skipping betting this game.

Blues vs. Coyotes (8:00)

The Blues are coming off back to back losses to the Coyotes (I lost my parlay on them in their last game with Husso starting in goal). Binnington’s already confirmed in goal for St. Louis tonight and I don’t see them losing three games in a row to Arizona. The price is pretty decent so I’m going with a unit on the ML.
