NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 3/12/21

Solid 3-1 night yesterday to win back a little over 2 units. Tonight’s slate sort of blows with only five games. Great job with scheduling, NHL. Breaking them all down.

Blues vs. Golden Knights (8:00)

Yesterday Marc-Andre Fleury got placed on the COVID list and with Lehner out with injury, Vegas is now on their third string goalie Logan Thompson. Tonight they go against the Blues in a game that with goaltending has a lot of uncertainty. I’d lean the Blues and the over here but I’m not betting either.

Wild vs. Coyotes (8:00)

The Minnesota Wild are on fire lately. In the two games between these teams this season, they split those games with a 5-1 Minnesota win and a 5-2 Coyotes win. I’d lean the over here in a closer game and the Wild ML but I don’t think its worth laying the -185.

Oilers vs. Senators (9:00)

The Oilers are 6-0 this season against Ottawa and just crushed them 7-1 on Wednesday. I’d lean the over here and I’m laying the juice on Edmonton with a unit on the Oilers.

Avalanche vs. Kings (9:00)

Colorado’s the way better team here and should win. That being said, they’ve disappointed me a lot this year. This is the first meeting between these teams this season. With Cal Peterson in COVID protocol and Jonathan Quick out with injury, Troy Grosenick allowed only one goal on 34 shots against the Ducks in his first appearance in the NHL since 2014 on Wednesday. The Avs should win this game but I’m not laying the -215 on a team that’s lost a bunch of games that they should’ve won so far this year.

Ducks vs. Sharks (10:00)

Both of these California teams have sucked this year. I’d give the slight edge to the Sharks here, who are 2-1 this season against Anaheim but I’m not betting it.

1u Oilers ML (-240)

Record: 120-117 (-30.58 units)
