I had a lousy night yesterday as the Bruins got me my only win of the night, losing a few units. This is March and obviously today’s all about basketball, but the NHL still has games tonight that I’m breaking down to try to win back yesterday’s losses. 

Capitals vs. Rangers (7:00)

In their last game against the Flyers on Wednesday night, the Rangers won in a huge blowout 9-0. Tonight they face the East leading Capitals, who are on fire with 10 wins in their last 11 games (six straight). Surprisingly though, this season the Rangers are 2-0 against the Caps. I think the Capitals get their first win against NY tonight so I’m taking them for half a unit.

Canadiens vs. Canucks (7:00)

Both of these teams have had their struggles this year. Montreal’s 5-2 against the Canucks this season and should win this game. I’m just not comfortable enough betting on them to win though. Of the seven games they’ve played over 6 is 6-1-1. I’ll take the over here for half a unit as both teams should get the puck in the back of the net.

Maple Leafs vs. Flames (7:00)

The Leafs haven’t been great lately losing five of their last six games but still are sitting at the top of the North standings tied with Edmonton. Calgary’s been the opposite and since Sutter took over behind the bench, the Flames are 3-1. Toronto’s 3-1 against the Flames this year. I’d lean Calgary in an upset on this one, but I’m skipping the game. 

Sharks vs. Blues (9:00)

The Blues are the better team here and should win but they’ve been bad lately losing their last five straight. These teams are 3-3 in their six games between each other this year and the over is 3-3 as well. Skipping this game entirely.

Kings vs. Golden Knights (10:00)

In my eyes, Vegas is the best team in hockey and my pick to win the Stanley Cup (I’ll probably put a sizable future on that at +700 soon). In their last game on Wednesday night, Vegas went into the 3rd period down 3-1 and came back to win 5-4 in regulation. The Kings have been all over the place this season. Vegas is 2-0 against LA this season and I think they make that 3-0 tonight. 2 units on the Knights, which along with fading Buffalo has been the most reliable bet every night.
