Brutal night yesterday as nothing went right other than the hedge on the Jets to sweep the Oilers. Especially disappointing was the Penguins and Vegas both losing while dominating the games they played. Onto tonight’s two games.
Game 4: Canadiens vs. Maple Leafs (7:30)
Last night in a close 2-1 game, the Leafs took a 2-1 series lead over the Montreal Canadiens. I think this series could end up being much closer than a lot of people expected it to be with the Leafs running away with it. I’d expect this game stays close as well but the Leafs definitely have the advantage. I’d lean the Leafs win it but I’m not betting this game. I’d also lean the under here but if the Leafs offense is firing like they did in Game 2, that could end up hitting the over, so I’ll stay off this game entirely.
Game 5: Hurricanes vs. Predators (8:00)
After winning easily in Games 1 and 2 at home, Carolina outplayed, outworked and outshot the Preds in Nashville in Games 3 and 4 but both games ended up bouncing Nashville’s way in double overtime and now the series is tied at 2-2 with the series going back to Carolina. I thought that the Canes would cruise to a five game easy series win but that’s not happening obviously. I still think Carolina’s the way better team here and has been the better team in all four games of this series. I have a three unit bet (risking 4.5) for Carolina to win this series in six or less games which I still think could happen but now I need the Canes to win both this game tonight and Game 6. I definitely see Carolina winning this game but since I already have that series bet, I’m just riding that out tonight rather than doubling up on it with the ML. At home the Canes should crush Nashville tonight in regulation and I wouldn’t think this game goes to overtime.
None today, just letting my Canes series bet ride
