Last night wasn’t a fun game to watch as the Tampa Bay Lightning had the biggest blow out of the playoffs in an 8-0 game with Andrei Vasilevskiy getting another shutout in a game that had the biggest scoring differential in a postseason game. Since Tampa hit the over by themselves before the 2nd period ended when they were up 6-0, I lost 1.62 units on the under, but I don’t hate that bet. Who would’ve though the Bolts would score over a touchdown by themselves. Both props for Tampa to win the series in six games look great though after that performance. Tonight, the Vegas Golden Knights look to take a 3-2 series lead at home in the Fortress in Game 5.
Game 5: Golden Knights vs. Canadiens (9:00)
After the game 3 blunder where Marc Andre Fleury gave away the tying goal with less than 2 minutes left that lead to the Habs winning in OT, Pete DeBoer started Robin Lehner in goal for Game 4. Panda was awesome in goal making an incredible save on Cole Caufield on a breakaway in the third period and three minutes later the Knights tied it up. Vegas won on Nicholas Roy’s goal 1:18 into overtime to take the tied series back to the Fortress tonight for Game 5. I still think Vegas is the better team in this series and at home tonight they should get the win to take their first lead of the series. I have a series bet on Vegas to win it in six (as well as a future on them to advance to the Cup), so I’m just going to ride that tonight. I’ll also jump on the under in this game with the alternate under 5.5 for a unit, which is 4-0 in this series that has been a goaltending clinic on both ends of the ice.
