NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 6/24/21

Last night, the Islanders put together a fantastic comeback, coming back from down 2-0 and winning 3-2 1:08 into OT on an astonishing goal by Anthony Beauvillier to force Game 7 in what could still be the final game at Nassau Coliseum. Tonight Vegas tries to do the same and force Game 7 with a win on the road against Montreal.

Game 6: Canadiens vs. Golden Knights (8:00)

Game 5 was a huge disappointment for the Vegas Golden Knights, losing 4-1 at home and now the Habs, who in the regular season only had one more win than the fucking Ottawa Senators are just one win away from the Stanley Cup Finals. This series has been so fucked in the way that it has played out so far. Vegas needs to win this game to force Game 7. Carey Price has been standing on his head this entire playoffs and the Knight’s offense this series hasn’t produced. I think in this must win game, the series comes back to reality and Vegas takes this thing to Game 7, where anything could happen in the Fortress. I don’t have much confidence in that but looking at the prices to hedge out of both my Vegas bet to win the series and my Vegas cup futures using either cup futures on the Habs or Carey Price to win the Conn Smythe (who’s the obvious Conn Smythe winner if Montreal somehow pulls off the biggest shocker of a result) just aren’t worth doing. So I’m just letting it ride tonight and so be it, if I lose, I lose. If Vegas wins tonight, the prices going into Game 7 will have better value to hedge on Montreal for me to get me futures on both sides since I already have Tampa and Isles to win it on the other side of the bracket. I’d lean the under tonight if Vegas wins but if Montreal has a lead late I could see some insanity that happens late to make the game go over, so I’ll lay off that. Let’s Go Knights!
