I went 0-2 last night with the Minnesota Wild losing in a crazy 7-4 game, losing 1.6 units. With all the postponed games, there’s only one game remaining tonight before the NHL goes on an early pause until at least December 27th.
Golden Knights vs. Lightning (10:00)
This game matches up two of the top teams in the NHL in a game that (if it happens) could be a potential preview of a Stanley Cup Finals matchup. Vegas comes into this game with a 20-11 record on a five game winning streak with eight wins in their last nine games. They are buzzing with their offense generating an average of 3.48 goals per game, good for fourth in the NHL in that category. They haven’t been great on the back end, allowing an average of 3.03 goals per game…but their powerful offense makes up for that. Tonight they’ll be without Evgenii Dadonov and Alex Pietrangelo who are are out on COVID protocol. Tampa’s buzzing too and look great again this season after their back to back cups. The Bolts are 19-6-4, winning seven of their last eight games. They have the eleventh highest scoring offense, averaging 3.17 goals per game and they’re allowing an eighth fewest in NHL average of 2.59 goals per game on good defense and Vasilevskiy’s great play in goal. I’d slightly lean Vegas here at home in the fortress, but the line on the game at -120 I think is perfect, pretty much a coin flip with a slight lean on the Golden Knights and not worth betting. On most slates, I would probably skip this game or go for a half unit on this but since it our only hockey game for about a week I’ll take the over 5.5 here for a unit and a half. Let’s get a nice winner on a fun game and cruise into the break.
1.5u Vegas/Tampa over 5.5 (-137)
Record (Regular Season): 208-176-9 (-24.34 units)
