Had a lousy day on the NHL yesterday ended my huge three game win streak as I went 5-10 to lose 4.97 units. Only one game tonight sandwiched between a ton of games over the weekend and an insane 14 game slate tomorrow…nice job NHL scheduling department.
Canadiens vs. Jets (7:00)
The Jets got a solid win in Ottawa last night, beating them 4-3 (but definitely making me sweat it out to close out my night with a win) to end their four game losing streak and they’re now 34-28-11. In their last 17 games, they have a 10-6-1 record but only have yesterday’s win in their last five. Winnipeg hasn’t been particularly good on either ends of the ice and just sit around league average on both ends, averaging 3.03 goals per game and allowing 3.07 goals per game on average. The Canadiens are the worst team in the NHL standings with a 20-41-11 record. They’re coming off a 3-2 loss in Toronto (I split that game and had the potential to crush it with one more Habs goal) and have just five wins in their last 16 games. Montreal’s been abysmal on both ends of the ice. They’ve averaged only 2.6 goals per game, fourth fewest in the NHL and they’ve allowed an average of 3.79 goals per game, second most in the NHL. These teams played in Winnipeg on March 1st and the Jets had one of their highest scoring games of the season, beating the Habs 8-4. Winnipeg should win this game but with them on the second half of a back to back on the road, I think this could be a let down spot. I’ll go with a half unit on the Jets TT over 3 and a unit on the over.
Game Bets
1u Jets/Canadiens over 6.5 (-114)
.5u Jets TT over 3 (-180)
Record: 706-517-28 (+16.25 units)
