NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/7/22

Thanks to the Bolts losing, I pretty much broke even with a slightly .15 unit profit going 4-2-1 last night. Let’s crush today’s board with a few playoff day games!

Game 3: Capitals vs. Panthers (1:00)

After losing at home in Game 1, the Panthers bounced back in Game 2 at home with a dominant 5-1 win, showing that the President’s Trophy winners still have the best offense in the NHL. Today the series shifts to our nation’s capital with the series tied up 1-1. I like Florida to win this one on the road to take back home ice in this series. I’ll go with a unit on the Panthers ML and 1.5 units on the Panthers TT over 3.5. I was on the over in Games 1 and 2 which both came a goal short. I’ll stay off it today but I’d lean the over again.

I will also add in a bonus parlay of the four favorites and the Dallas/Calgary under for a unit.

Game 3: Predators vs. Avalanche (4:30)

After getting completely blown out 7-2 in Game 1, the Predators switched up their goalie situation starting rookie goaltender Connor Ingram in Game 2. He had an incredible performance, making 49 saves as they lost in overtime 2-1 with Cale Makar’s game winner. Even with that incredible performance from Ingram in goal, Nashville still couldn’t find a way to win. They don’t have a chance to beat the Avalanche in this series. This game might be tougher for them with the crowd in Smashville, but I’ll go with 2 units on the Avs in regulation and a unit on the Avs TT over 3.5. I’d lean the over but not enough to bet on it.

Game 3: Penguins vs. Rangers (7:00)

The Rangers answered back from losing in triple overtime in Game 1 on Tuesday with a big 5-2 win on Thursday in MSG. I think the Penguins are fucked in this series with both Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith out. Louis Domingue isn’t going to be able to keep up in goal with Igor Shesterkin on the other end of the ice. I already added on another unit yesterday on the Rangers to win this series. I’d expect the Rags to be able to take back home ice in this series with a win on the road today. I’ll take the Rangers ML for 2 units and a unit on the Rangers TT over 3.

Game 3: Stars vs. Flames (9:30)

This series has been pretty boring so far and now tied up 1-1 heading to Dallas. The Flames are the way better team here and I like them to win on the road to take the series lead and get home ice back. I’ll take them for a unit. Both games in this series have been such slow grinds that were never a sweat on the under, which I’ll take again today for 2 units.
