This first round of the NHL playoffs has fucking sucked for me and it feels like I can’t get a winning day. Yesterday was no different as I went 3-5 to lose 7.72 units with the biggest loss on Dallas coming with just a second left. That turns around today on these Game 4s, including my biggest game of the year tonight and the chance to cash some props!

Game 4: Bruins vs. Hurricanes (12:30)

After playing pretty poorly and losing Games 1 and 2 in Carolina, the Bruins made their adjustments and turned this into a series again with a 4-2 win at home in Game 3. Going into this series I thought the B’s were the better team in this matchup but the Hurricanes dominated those first two games. I’d slightly lean the Canes win today’s game on the road but wouldn’t bet it. I have a two unit bet on this series to go over 5.5 games and a Bruins win today would lock up a win on that. I’ll let that ride today and hopefully Boston pulls off another win at home. I leaned the under in this series but the over is 3-0 all hitting by a late goal, which I’ll stay off of. Let’s go Bruins and cash this prop with a tied up series.

Game 4: Blues vs. Wild (4:30)

The Minnesota Wild got off to a hot start and dominated Game 3 with a 5-1 victory in St. Louis to take back home ice in this series against the Blues. This is pretty much a must win game for the Blues at home today. I think if they lose today this series is pretty much over with Game 5 heading back to Minnesota. I do think the Wild are the better team though. I have several props on this series to go 6 or 7 games. With a Blues win today, that’ll cash my over 5.5 games prop. I’ll let that ride on today’s game. I’ll also take the over for a unit, expecting both teams to score.

Game 4: Lightning vs. Maple Leafs (7:00)

The Leafs got out to an early 3-0 lead in Game 3 in Tampa and rode that out to a 5-2 win that was a lot closer than the score indicates with those last two goals scored on the empty net in the last two minutes of the game. The Lighting are the better and more well rounded team in this series. They haven’t lost back to back games in the playoffs since 2018 and I don’t see that happening at home today. I’m going all in on this game with my biggest bet of the year…8 units on the Lightning ML (I am using PointsBet Sportsbook’s first time user promo on this so it’s sort of insured with free bets back if it loses, but that’s definitely not risk free since you don’t get the stake of those free bets back so best case you can break even). I also still have my over 5.5 games prop on this series that would cash today with a Bolts win that I’m letting ride. Let’s go Tampa!!

Game 4: Kings vs. Oilers (10:00)

The Oilers once again dominated the Kings to take a 2-1 series lead and home ice back with a huge 8-2 win in LA on Friday. They’re the way better team in this series and I think this one’s pretty much over at this point. I’d expect another Oilers win today. I’ll go with 2 units on the Oilers ML, a unit on the Oilers puck line and a unit on the Oilers TT over 3.5. An Edmonton win today I think also pretty much locks up my Oilers in 6 games or less prop as well, unofficially.
