Last night with only one game on the slate, the Blues lost 5-2 to the Avs and more importantly lost Jordan Binnington to injury. Today we have three games, including the first day games of the second round.

Game 3: Lightning vs. Panthers (1:30)

After losing 4-1 at home in Game 1, the Panthers played a much more competitive game in Game 2 on Thursday night against the Lightning but they gave up a buzzer beater to Ross Colton with just four seconds remaining in overtime to lose 2-1. Now the series goes to Tampa today after these teams got an extra day of rest because a Kane Brown concert last night at Amalie Arena and they play back to back with another game tomorrow since the NHL blows at scheduling games. I think Florida’s fucked here after losing both games at home and this series will be likely done in five games. I’ll take Tampa ML and Tampa TT over 3 for a unit each.

Game 3: Rangers vs. Hurricanes (3:30)

This series shifts to MSG for Game 3 of this series with the Carolina Hurricanes up 2-0. This has been such a boring series so far with slow grinds of games. The Hurricanes won Game 1 in overtime 2-1 and then shut out the Rangers 2-0 in the Game 2. With this series going to New York, this is must win for the Rangers at home. I think the Canes are the better team though in this series and should win this series. I’d lean the Rangers win but not enough to bet on it so I’ll just stay off a side in this game. I love the unders in this series that have hit with ease. I will take the under 5.5 in this game for three units.

Game 3: Oilers vs. Flames (8:00)

This has easily been the best series of the playoffs so far for the Battle of Alberta. These rivals split their games in Calgary with the Flames winning 9-6 in Game 1 and the Oilers answering back with a 5-3 win in Game 2, scoring four unanswered goals to close out the win. I felt like that game was a bit of a ref show with both teams incorrectly getting a goal taken away. Although that sort of washes out (and directly lost one of my bets), it completely fucks up the flow of the game. The Flames are the better team in this series and I like them to get a win back tonight. I’ll go with a unit on the Flames moneyline. The overs in this series have been incredible with both teams scoring at will and I’m going right back to hammering it tonight. I’ll go with 3 units on the over and 1.5 units each on the both team total over 3s.
