NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/27/22

Last night the Edmonton Oilers knocked off the Calgary Flames in an incredible game for the finale of the Battle of Alberta, winning 5-4 in overtime on the game winner from none other than Connor McDavid. Even with my double loser on the Flames series loss, still a solid night as I more than made up for it with a sweep on all the game bets, going 4-2 to win 4.92 units. Tonight the Colorado Avalanche have another chance to do what they couldn’t finish on Wednesday night and punch their ticket to play the Oilers in the Western Conference Finals with a win in St. Louis.

Game 6: Blues vs. Avalanche (8:00)

In Game 5, the Avs blew a 3-0 early lead and then a potential 7.36 unit win for me blown with 56 seconds left in the game with the Blues extending the series to six games with a 5-4 overtime win. Gabriel Landeskog tried to prevent icing on an empty net and the Blues tied up the game right after. Just fucking shoot the puck in that situation and try to close out the series. Nathan MacKinnon had a hat trick in the loss for the Avs but it wasn’t enough with Tyler Bozak scoring the game winner 3:38 into overtime. Tonight the series goes back to St. Louis for Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead for the Avalanche and again the ability to close out the Blues and go to their first Western Conference Finals since 2002. Going into this series, I expected the Avs to win it but thought there was a possibility that the Blues could make it competitive. After Jordan Binnington got injured though, my thought was this series was over. And then I thought the same thing twice in Game 5, Wednesday night. Although I would like to see this series going to Game 7, I doubt the Avalanche find a way to lose again with the chance to end the Blues season. I’ll take the Avs TT over 3.5 for 1.5 units and the Avs ML for a unit. I will also take the over for 2 units.
