Last night with just 6 seconds remaining in regulation, Darren Helm scored the series winner for the Avs, advancing them to the Western Conference Finals to play the Oilers. Including my Blues future, I went 1-3 to lose 3.79 units. Tonight the Hurricanes look to get their first road win of the playoffs to go on to play Tampa in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Game 6: Rangers vs. Hurricanes (8:00)
With a solid 3-1 win at home in Game 5 on Thursday night (double winner for me), the Hurricanes put the Rangers on the brink of elimination. Carolina dominated on both ends of the ice, limiting the Rags to their lowest shot total (17) of the season and had 34 shots on goal. The Canes have played like a complete different team on home and on the road. I have 2.5 units at even money on the Canes to win this series in six games or less and I don’t really like that whatsoever on the road today. Luckily though, the ML is cheap enough that I can essentially just buy out of this bet since I think the Rangers win this game at home in MSG. I’ll go with 3 units on the Rangers ML (if I didn’t have that series bet, I’d go with a unit on the Rangers ML instead of 3). I’ve been riding the unders on this series every game and although I don’t love it in an elimination game, I still think its worth betting again tonight since I think the Rags win. If the Rangers win it should stay under, where if Carolina wins, I’d expect it to go over. I’ll go with a unit on the under 5.5.
