Another week, another incredibly dominant performance for the Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills as they completely trounced the Tennessee Titans 41-7 last night in our home opener on Monday Night Football in beautiful Orchard Park, NY.
Last night to follow up on the absolute clinic that the Bills put on in Week 1 in LA against the Rams, we followed up on that last night with another huge shit kicking.
The Bills starting last night’s game with a 75 yard drive capped off with an eleven yard touchdown from Josh Allen to an unexpected target of fullback Reggie Gilliam after Gilliam made a couple great moves cutting to the end zone. The Titans answered back with their only score of the game on a Derrick Henry two yard run. The second quarter was a bit sloppy with the Bills offense stalling a few times and coming away with just a field goal before our last drive of the half capped off with a beautiful 77 yard drive that ended with Stefon Diggs first touchdown of the night to take a 17-10 lead into halftime. The third quarter became the Allen and Diggs show, with Josh throwing a 46 yard bomb to Diggs effortlessly for another touchdown to finish an 80 yard drive and another 14 yard TD to him later in the quarter. By then the Bills were up 41-7 and it was game over with both teams pulling their starters and just riding out a scoreless fourth quarter with backups. Felt nice for a game to be over in just 45 minutes of game time.
Final: Bills 41, Titans 7
Josh looked effortless again in an incredible performance in only three quarters of gameplay, going 26/38 for 317 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. Stefon Diggs was one of the best performing WR in the NFL once again this week, putting up 148 yards receiving and three touchdowns also in only three quarters. The defense and special teams played fantastic, limiting Tennessee to only 187 total yards with two interceptions and a pick six, recovering two fumbles and forcing two muffed punts (one that was recovered. Even more impressive, they limited one of the best running backs in the NFL in Derrick Henry to only 25 yards on 13 carriers.
My only criticisms from last night’s game were that we were very undisciplined with a ton of penalties. Although that didn’t matter with the end result of the game, can’t take that many penalties in a game that ends up being close. My other issue was the play calling on 3rd or 4th and 1 plays in the first half. Just run the ball right up the middle when you only need half a yard!! No point of shotgun formation or gadget plays in those situations. Keep it simple. Other than that, another incredible game.
This team’s special and this year feels way different than any other season before. Ever facet of the game we’re dominating in. No one’s beating us!!
GO BILLS!!!
PS: This clip from before the game of Marv Levy hyping up the stadium and the whole crowd screaming RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW alongside him gave me chills and got me so fucking pumped up. We’re gonna win the fucking Super Bowl!!!
PSS: I added even more to my Bills to win the Super Bowl future bets.
