Today should’ve been an easy divisional win but with bad offense and poor defense with plenty of mistakes on both sides of the ball, the Bills lost 20-17 to the Jets.
The Bills started the first drive with great field position after a weird kickoff where the Jets kicker slipped on his plant foot. After a beautiful 42 yard pass to Stefon Diggs but then on the Jets 11 yard line, Josh threw an interception to end the drive. The Jets went three and out though to give the Bills the ball back. After getting called just short, Josh called his own number again to finish off a 67 yard, 14 play drive with the first touchdown of the game. The Jets answered back with a 53 yard field goal to make it 7-3 with 35 seconds left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter Josh kept the ball himself on third and two, rushing it 36 yards for his second touchdown of the game making it 14-3 Bills with 6:30 left in the first half. The Jets scored their first touchdown of the game with 32 seconds left in the half to make it 14-10 on a Michael Carter six yard rush to finish a 75 yard drive. As time ran out on the half, the Bills missed a 55 yard field goal to go into the half up 14-10.
With the Jets getting the ball to start the second half, after a long ass drive that took what felt like forever including a super long delay because of a camera malfunction, the Bills got the ball back with a fumble recovery by AJ Epenesa on a Von Miller sack on Zach Wilson. Didn’t take long for the Jets to get it back though with Josh throwing an interception on a bonehead throw picked off my Sauce Gardner on second down. With short field position, the Jets cashed in with their second touchdown of the game, making it 17-14 with 4:03 left in the third.
To start the fourth quarter, the Bills tied it up 1:27 into the quarter with a 51 yard Tyler Bass field goal. Leaving 1:43 on the clock, the Jets kicked a 28 yard field goal to take a 20-17 lead. On the last play of the game on a long drive throw that should’ve absolutely been pass interference, the Bills fell short.

Horrible game for the Bills on both sides of the ball. This was just a bad game in every facet of the game and its almost shocking that we only lost by three. The Jets ran all over us today. The Bills defense missed tackles left and right all game, the most I’ve ever seen in a game. Josh looked like he was seeing ghosts and afraid to throw the fucking ball. He only went 18 for 34, throwing for just 205 yards with two key interceptions. No Bills receiver other than Diggs had more than 33 yards all game. Only three points in the second half. Missing out on a touchdown and a field goal because of lousy turnovers. We were awful today. Such a shitty game. No excuses. Losing as a 10.5 point favorite is unacceptable for a team that deservingly so is the Super Bowl favorite.
Need to bounce back next week at home against the Vikings with a dominant win and need Matt Milano, Jordan Poyer and Tre White back next week.
No excuses to lose both divisional games on the road so far this season. Trash.
