NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/21/23

With the Canes losing in overtime at home in Game 2, but the under cashing easily, I went 1-1 to lose a touch less of a unit last night. This afternoon we have Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Let’s bounce back again!

Game 2: Golden Knights vs. Stars (3:00)

We got a very entertaining and competitive Game 1 of this series on Friday night, which didn’t disappoint as the Golden Knights won 4-3 in overtime. With a high-scoring four goal third period to cash the over, I got a win on it. The Stars forced overtime on Jamie Benn’s goal with 1:59 remaining in regulation but Brett Howden was the overtime hero just 1:35 into OT to get the Knights the win at home in the Fortress to take a 1-0 series lead. Vegas outshot the Stars 37-36 and outplayed Dallas by an expected goal rate of 2.9-2.22. I’d slightly lean the Golden Knights win Game 2 at home as well, but not nearly enough to even consider betting it. I thought this would be a tight, competitive series and through a game it absolutely has been. I like the over again even though it was a sweat through the first 40 minutes and didn’t cash till there was less than two minutes left in Game 2. I’ll take it for a unit.
