NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 10/6/26

Losing night on the NHL yesterday for me, going 1-2 on the small slate to lose 0.92 units. Tonight we have a big nine game slate, let’s bounce back!

Sabres vs. Wild (7:00)

I’ll be boots on the ground for the first time this season as my Sabres face a pretty tough matchup against the Wild. Although I’m excited to go, I don’t expect much out of this game. Minnesota’s the far better team here and should win on the road. We’ve looked terrible these first two games. I’ll take the Wild for half a unit, even though I’m going. Perfectly fine with losing that one. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it at – money. I wanted to bet a player prop for fun, but there’s nothing I like here.

Canadiens vs. Hurricanes (7:00)

This should be a great game for a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals. I’d lean Carolina gets the win here on the road, despite the busy start to the season for their offense, but the right play on this game is just laying off it completely. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.

Maple Leafs vs. Predators (7:00)

Boring cross conference game here. I’d lean the Leafs win at home, but don’t trust them enough to bet it. I’d lean the under, but not at 5.5, so I’ll stay off this game completely.

Red Wings vs. Senators (7:00)

I thought both of these teams would be pretty bad this year and although that looks quite accurate on the Red Wings, who are in disarray, the Sens have looked pretty solid through their first two games. I still don’t think Ottawa’s good, but right now, the Red Wings are going to be an auto-fade for me. I’ll take the Senators for half a unit as a slight underdog. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.

Devils vs. Mammoth (7:00)

This should be a decent game. The Devils looked decent in their first two games, but then got killed 6-0 on Long Island. I think Jersey improves this year and they should contend for third place in the Metro or the second Wild Card spot, but I am very high on the Mammoth this year. I like Utah to win tonight on the road and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d slightly lean the over, but not enough to bet it.

Rangers vs. Islanders (7:30)

Although the Rangers have looked decent in their 3-1 start, I still don’t think the Battle of New York is great this year and I still expect both these teams to miss the playoffs. I’d slightly lean the Rangers at home and the under, but I’m not touching this game.

Blackhawks vs. Blues (8:00)

Pretty lousy matchup here in the Central with really the only interesting thing about it being that Patrick Kane will return as a Blackhawk to the United Center for the first time. Chicago’s terrible, and I like the Blues (who I don’t think are great either) to win here on the road. I’ll take them for half a unit. I like the over too at 5.5, which I’ll also take for half a unit. Additionally, I just have to take Patty Kane to get a point tonight, which I’ll take for half a unit too.

Kraken vs. Golden Knights (9:40)

Pretty big mismatch in terms of talent between these 2-1 Pacific Division teams. The Golden Knights are the far better team here and I’ll take them for a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it at 6.5.

Kings vs. Panthers (10:00)

Another big mismatch in this cross conference game. The Panthers should bounce back from their last two overtime losses in California, and I’ll take them for a unit. They’re far too cheap for how bad the Kings are. I’ll also take the over for half a unit at 5.5.
