I bounced back nicely in the NHL last night, going 5-2 to win 3.24 units. Big eleven game slate tonight, so let’s get back on a roll!

Lightning vs. Jets (7:00)
The Jets have fallen off quite a bit, making this a pretty boring cross conference matchup here. With the Lightning coming back home after losing their last two games on the road in Utah and Colorado, I like them to bounce back. The moneyline is too expensive at -230, but I’ll parlay them with Nikita Kucherov to get a point for a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it, especially at -140.
Penguins vs. Mammoth (7:00)
This should be a fun cross conference game, but it isn’t great. I like the Mammoth to win this one on the road and I’ll take them for half a unit. I love the over though, which I’ll take for a unit.
Hurricanes vs. Blue Jackets (7:00)
Huge mismatch here in the Metro. The Hurricanes look great defending their Cup while the Blue Jackets look awful. This should be an easy win for Carolina and I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Red Wings vs. Blackhawks (7:30)
Such a horrible cross conference matchup and the Dylan Larkin drama with his trade talks getting deep today and him sitting out tonight. Both of these teams are bad. I’d lean the Red Wings win it at home but I’m not touching this game. The total’s a complete toss up. I’ll lay off this game entirely.
Blues vs. Bruins (8:00)
I wouldn’t say this is a great game for this cross conference matchup, but it could be more fun than expected. The Bruins have been spectacular this season, and I like them to win here on the road to bounce back from their 2-1 loss in a huge game in Carolina on Tuesday. It does concern me a little bit that the Blues are coming off getting shut out two games in a row at home, but we’re getting a great price with them as a slight dog at -105. I’ll still take Boston for a unit. The total at 5.5 is a complete coin flip to me.
Predators vs. Capitals (8:00)
Not the best cross conference matchup. The Predators haven’t been great, despite picking up points in five of their last six games. The Caps have been awesome and even in the second half of a back to back on the road, I like them to win again. I’ll take the Capitals for a unit. I like the over too, which I’ll take for half a unit.
Stars vs. Canadiens (8:00)
This is a blast of a cross conference matchup tonight! Both of these teams have been playing solid hockey, especially defensively lately. I’d lean the Stars win this one at home to bounce back from getting trounced at home 5-1 in Connor Hellebuyck’s debut for the Devils. I’d also lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Wild vs. Islanders (8:00)
The Islanders aren’t that bad, but they’re just a middle of the road team. The Wild though, are very good and return home tonight on a three game win streak. I like Minnesota to win this game and I’ll take them, laying the heavy -192 for a unit. I’d lean the over at 5.5, but still not enough to bet it.
Ducks vs. Sabres (10:00)
This should be a fun Sabres after dark for my boys, coming off a 2-0 win in a solid game in San Jose on Tuesday night. I’d lean the Ducks win this one at home to bounce back from blowing a bad game to lose in overtime at home against the Canucks on Tuesday, and at +120, I think that’s solid value so I’ll bet against my boys for half a unit. I do like the over too, which I’ll take for half a unit as well.
Kings vs. Senators (10:00)
Terrible mismatch here in this cross conference game. I like the Sens to win this one on the road tonight and I’ll take them for unit. LA sucks. I’d lean the over, especially at 5.5, but with how bad the Kings offense is, I’ll lay off it.
Sharks vs. Canucks (10:00)
Lousy game here. The Canucks are an auto-bet against for me every day and I’m not laying off it here. I could not believe they came back from three goal deficit to come back in overtime to beat the Ducks on the road, and I definitely don’t see this team win two in a row. I’ll take the Sharks, who haven’t been all that great, to win this at home tonight for half a unit. Love the over, which I’ll take for a unit.
