Quoting the Best Office Episodes Ever

The Office quickly became one of my favorite show after I finished watching it in its entirety last year. I’ve now rewatched a bunch of the episodes, listen to Office Ladies every week and its another comfort show that I watch before I go to bed at night.

I saw this today on Twitter and thought, why not give my top three favorite episodes of The Office and the quotes that defined them.

3. “I was just… I’m in love with you.” – Jim Halpert

Casino Night (season 2, episode 22)

In the season 2 finale, Jim blinds Pam and vulnerably admits his love for her at Dunder Mifflin’s casino night, even though she’s still engaged to Roy. After Pam apologizes to Jim for maybe leading him on, he says that he’s sorry for misinterpreting their friendship. On the phone, Pam pretty much tells her mom that she thinks she’s in love with Jim too and they have their first kiss in the empty office. Plus this episode’s got some great Michael quotes while he has Jan and Carol both as dates, and I think Jan’s one of the most underrated characters on the show. Love pretty much every episode that she’s a part of.

2. “The boat was actually Plan C. The church was Plan B and Plan A was marrying her a long, long time ago. Pretty much the day I met her.” – Jim Halpert

Niagara (season 6, episode 5)

I loved Jim and Pam’s dysfunctional wedding with Dunder Mifflin all dancing down the aisle while they actually got married on the Maid of the Mist. Even though things didn’t go like Jim and Pam had planned, it still ended up perfect. Cause the two of them were finally together, forever.

1. “I thought it was weird when you picked us to make a documentary. But all in all…I think an ordinary paper company like Dunder Mifflin was a great subject for a documentary. There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn’t that kind of the point?” Pam Halpert

Finale (season 9, episode 23)

A perfect wrap on a perfect show.

Honorable Mentions:

Here’s the thing. Chili’s is the new golf course. It’s where business happens. Small Businessman Magazine.” – Michael Scott The Client (season 2, episode 7)

When you’re a kid you assume your parents are soulmates. My kids are going to be right about that.” – Pam Halpert Stress Relief (season 5, episode 15)

“I finally broke down and bought myself a plasma TV.” – Michael Scott Dinner Party (season 4, episode 9)

Pam. Sorry. Um, are you free for dinner tonight?” – Jim Halpert The Job (season 3, episode 23)

And then tomorrow, I can tell you… what a great boss, you turned out to be. The best boss I ever had.” – Jim Halpert Goodbye Michael (season 7, episode 21)

…and plenty of others I’m sure I missed.
