Last night I went 2-4-1, for -1.62 units. Tonight the NHL has just a small three game slate.
Flyers vs. Maple Leafs (7:30)
The Leafs lost to LA at home 5-1 on Monday but before that they were on a five game win streak and seemed to turn around their shitty start to the season. The Leafs offense is still terrible on the season, sixth worst scoring, averaging just 2.54 goals per game and only scoring on the very low percentage of 7.3% of their shots. They’ve been getting decent goaltending from Campbell and they’re allowing 2.85 goals per game. The Flyers are 6-2-2 and playing well this year. They’re ninth in scoring, averaging 3.2 goals per game and they’re actually fifth defensively, allowing an average of 2.4 goals per game. I like the Flyers as a dog at home here even though the Leafs “should” be the better team. I’ll take Philly for half a unit and the alternate TT over 2.5 for them at a half unit as well.
Stars vs. Predators (8:30)
Dallas blows lately, they’ve lost five of their last six games. They’re fourth worst in the NHL at scoring goals, averaging just 2.18 goals per game. They started the season well defensively, but that’s diminished recently. They’re now ninth worst in that category, giving up an average of 3.09 goals per game. The under trend on Dallas after starting the year 8-0 has now lost in the Stars last three games. The Nashville Predators have trended under with it going 8-4 in their games. They’re averaging 2.58 goals per game and allowing 2.75 goals per game with great goaltending from Juuse Saros. I like the Preds to win this one on the road and I’m going back to the under for a half unit each.
Coyotes vs. Wild (10:00)
In their last game, the Yotes finally got their first win of the season, a 5-4 win at home over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night. Arizona’s significantly the worst team in hockey on both ends of the ice, averaging only 1.58 goals per game and allowing 4 goals per game. Pathetic. Minnesota’s been pretty good offensively, ranked seventh in the NHL, averaging 3.27 goals per game. They’ve been bad defensively though, allowing 3.27 goals per game (eighth worst in the NHL). The Wild should win this game and I’ll take them for half a unit in regulation and the Wild TT over 3.5 for half a unit.

.5u Flyers TT over 2.5 (-157)
.5u Preds ML (+130)

Record (Regular Season): 73-80-3 (-15.64 units)
