NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/25/22

Solid night yesterday, going 2-2, winning both big bets on the totals in last night’s games and losing both smaller ML bets for a 4.44 unit profit. Tonight, we just have one game as the Avalanche look to close out the Blues on home ice.

Game 5: Avalanche vs. Blues (8:00)

With a solid 6-3 win in St. Louis on Monday night, the Avalanche put the Blues on the brink of elimination going up 3-1 in the series heading back to Colorado tonight with the chance to close this series out and go to the Western Conference Finals. Without Jordan Binnington in this series for the Blues, I said they don’t have a chance to knock off Colorado with Ville Husso in goal. Husso had a great regular season and went from being a complete liability and an auto bet on anyone facing the Blues when he was starting last year to being a very reliable and solid goalie that overtook Binnington as their starter this season. The playoffs is a completely different animal though and as soon as Binner got taken out of this series after his accidental collision with Kadri in Game 3, this series was over in my eyes. After a ton of ridiculous threats from St. Louis fans and being at the forefront of scrutiny on the hit because of his bad history, Nazim Kadri challenged that to score a hat trick in the Avs win in Game 4. Before Game 4, I added a two unit series bet with some incredible value on it at +118. Considering that the ML tonight is -240 tonight. Huge value gained there. Along with letting that ride tonight and hopefully cashing in with a Colorado win, I’m doubling down on the Avs tonight. I’ll go with 2 units each on the Avs in regulation and Avs TT over 3.5. I will also take the over for a unit with this being an elimination game.
