NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 11/22/22

Great night yesterday with my only loss coming on the Preds needing overtime to win instead of getting it done in regulation. I went 5-1 to win 4.72 units. Huge night! Tonight we only have a small two game NHL slate. Let’s win again!

I also added two more futures last night, another unit on the Bruins at +1000 and a unit on the Devils at +1600. As much as I fucking hate it, the B’s are a team of destiny this year. They’re playing for Bergy to go out winning the Cup. They’re the best team in the NHL right now and I feel like there’s still value on them at 10:1. The Devils are playing undeniable good hockey. Although I don’t expect them to win the Cup, I feel like the 16:1 is great value on them (just as my 13:1 on Carolina) and a perfect hedge for the Eastern Conference. And if I had to have one of the three teams out of Boston, Carolina and Jersey win the Cup, I’d love for it to be Lindy Ruff and the Devils.

Canadiens vs. Sabres (7:00)

The Sabres have been playing such shitty defensive hockey during this stretch, coming into tonight’s game on an eight game losing streak, dropping to 7-11 on the season. The offense has been fine but they can’t outscore how lousy the defense and goaltending has been. The Habs have been definitely better than last year at 9-8-1 but they’ve had similar defensive struggles as well. Jake Allen, who’s likely starting for Montreal tonight has struggled recently with a 3.33 GAA, .898 save percentage on the year. I like the Sabres to get off the losing streak with a road win tonight to avenge their 3-2 loss to the Canadiens at home on October 27th in a game they outshot Montreal 45-34. Although I’d expect a Sabres win, the safer play to me here is the Sabres TT which I will take for a unit along with half a unit on the over.

Kings vs. Rangers (10:30)

Neither of these teams have been great and have played pretty disappointing hockey. The Kings offense has been decent but their defense and goaltending has been bad. Cal Petersen, likely to start tonight has a 3.49 GAA, .880 save percentage in his eight starts. The Rangers have been fine defensively but have struggled a bit offensively. I’d lean the Rangers and the under in this game but not enough to bet on either, so I’ll just lay off this game completely.

Game Bets

1u Sabres TT over 3 (-136)

.5u Sabres/Canadiens over 6.5 (-110)

Futures

1u Boston Bruins – Stanley Cup Champions (+1000)

1.5u Boston Bruins – Stanley Cup Champions (+1100)

2u Vegas Golden Knights – Stanley Cup Champions (+1200)

1.5u Carolina Hurricanes – Stanley Cup Champions (+1300)

1u New Jersey Devils – Stanley Cup Champions (+1600)

Record: 131-120-2 (-16.98 units)
