With the conclusion of an insane first round of the NHL playoffs last night with our third Game 7, we’re jumping right into the second round. Tonight we have Game 1 in the Leafs/Panthers series in the East and the Stars/Kraken series in the West. Let’s start it off right!
The insane first round was a bit of a mixed bag for me, losing quite a bit on the daily plays but CRUSHING the series bets for a 9.4 unit win on the those. This round, let’s not only crush the series plays, but make a ton of profit on the daily plays.
Breaking it down, here’s how the first round went for me (this is more so just for me to look back on after the season ends):
- First Round Total: 49-60-5 (-14.64 units)
- Pregame: 39-51-5 (-19.04 units)
- Series bets: 10-4 (+9.4 units)
- Futures: 0-5 (-5 units)
Game 1: Maple Leafs vs. Panthers (7:00)
I broke this series down in depth with a long-form blog today. As I said in that article, I like the Leafs to win the series and will take them for 1.5 units to win the series in six games or less. I’ll also take them for 1.5 units to win Game 1. I love the overs in this series as well, and will take the over in Game 1 for 2 units.
Game 1: Stars vs. Kraken (9:30)
I broke this series down in depth with a long-form blog this morning. As I said in that article, I expect the Stars to win this series and advance to the Western Conference Finals to play the winner of the Vegas/Edmonton series. Having futures on both of those teams, I’m also adding 2 units on a future of the Stars to win the Cup. I am taking them to win the series in six games or less for 2 units. In Game 1 tonight, I’ll take the Stars for 1.5 units. I expect the games in this series to trend under, and will start with a unit on the under for tonight’s game.
