NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 4/21/26

Second winning night in a row on the NHL Playoffs yesterday, as I went 9-5 to win 0.9 units. Let’s keep rolling with another four Game 2’s tonight in the first round!

Game 2: Lightning vs. Canadiens (7:00)

The first game of this series on Sunday night was fantastic, with both teams trading goals, with plenty of hits and six goals coming on the power play as the Habs won it 4-3 on the road in overtime with Juraj Slafkovsky’s game winner, on the power play, getting a hat trick. I like the Lightning to answer back here at home and I’ll lay the -195 moneyline on them for a unit. I thought of saving some juice on the regulation line but I could absolutely see this going to overtime again. I like the over as well at 5.5, so I’ll take that for a unit as well. I’m back on all my player props here, which all crushed easily in Game 1. I’ll parlay Nikita Kucherov, Jake Guentzel, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky to each get a point for half a unit. I’ll also take Kucherov to get over 1.5 points for half a unit, and Slafkovsky individually to get a point for a unit.

Game 2: Sabres vs. Bruins (7:30)

The first playoff game for the Sabres in 15 years and the first I ever got to attend was absolutely electric on Sunday night, as we came back in the last 7:58 of the game, with four straight goals to beat the Bruins 4-3 at home in Game 1. Outside of the power play looking horrendous and looking dead in the first ten minutes of the third period after going down 2-0, I thought Buffalo looked pretty good all game, outshooting the Bruins 38-20 and outhitting them 53-38. Jeremy Swayman was just incredible through the first 50 minutes in goal. I like the Sabres to win again tonight at home and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it. I’ll also parlay Tage Thompson and David Pastrnak to each get a point, who each had three in Game 1, for half a unit.

Game 2: Golden Knights vs. Mammoth (9:30)

The Mammoth started Game 1 looking pretty good, but fell apart in the third period to lose 4-2 on the road with Vegas coming alive in the third period. I like the Knights to win again tonight at home and I’ll take them for a unit. The total’s a toss up to me. I was on a bunch of player props in Game 1 and none of them hit. I’ll lay off all those in this game.

Game 2: Avalanche vs. Kings (10:00)

In Game 1 of this series on Sunday afternoon, it went pretty much as I expected, with the Avs shutting out the Kings until the final 2:22 of the game when they gave up a power play goal, winning 2-1 at home. I still think this ends up being a pretty quick series. I love the Avs to win here at home and I’ll take them in regulation for 2 units. I’d slightly lean the under, but not enough to bet it. I considered some player props but the prices on them, even parlayed is nuts, so I’ll just stick with one with half a unit on Nathan MacKinnon to get over 1.5 points.
